No Palestinian State
No Palestinian State: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear once again that he will not allow a Palestinian state to be created. He recently said, “There will be no Palestinian state,” while speaking at a ceremony to approve a new illegal Israeli settlement near occupied Jerusalem.
Most of the world disagrees with him. In fact, 142 countries at the UN General Assembly recently voted in favor of reviving the two-state solution, which would allow both Israel and Palestine to exist as independent countries.
Erasing Palestinian History
However, far-right Israeli leaders continue to block this. Israel’s finance minister even claimed that “there is nothing to recognize and no one to recognize” — repeating the false and dangerous idea that Palestine never existed. In truth, Palestinians have lived on this land for centuries — long before Israeli settlers arrived. Today, Israel is trying to erase their identity through war in Gaza and land grabs in the West Bank.
Backed by the U.S.
The UN vote is a symbolic win for Palestinians, but Israel still strongly opposes their independence. With strong U.S. support, Israel continues to prevent a free and connected Palestinian state from becoming reality. This hardline stance has already caused two Palestinian uprisings (intifadas), and now the war in Gaza.
Extremist voices in Israel seem to want a “Greater Israel” — an expansionist vision built on racist and religious extremism. Their growing aggression toward countries like Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iran, and Qatar suggests this conflict could expand further.
Peace and Freedom
To stop this violence and help Palestinians gain their rights, the Arab and Muslim world must unite. The UN resolution also says that there should be clear steps toward building a Palestinian state, and that the Palestinian people — once the war ends — should be free to choose their own leaders through elections.
