Pakistan Oman Trade Expansion
Pakistan Oman Trade Expansion: Oman is set to import products from Pakistan across 12 categories in the current fiscal year, aiming to boost the bilateral trade volume. This development follows the conclusion of the first-ever Pakistan-Oman Expo and Business Conference held in Muscat, which resulted in substantial export orders for Pakistani businesses.
An official statement revealed that Pakistani firms secured orders for various products, including home textiles. Furthermore, sports equipment, rice, children’s clothing, leather goods, food items, groceries, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and chemicals.
The expo marked a significant milestone, showcasing the offerings of 64 Pakistani businesses from ten sectors. Such as textiles, clothing, agricultural products, surgical instruments, sports goods, pharmaceuticals, and handicrafts. Furthermore, hotel investments, are all under one roof in Oman for the first time.
Over 1,000 business professionals attended the event. Pakistani products garnered positive feedback from the Omani government and private sector representatives.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali, expressed appreciation for the Omani government’s support in organizing the expo. He noted that this event signifies a new chapter in the economic partnership between Pakistan and Oman, emphasizing that regular interactions among business and trade communities will create new opportunities for trade and investment.
