Gaza Peace Plan with Global Support: He spoke at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump said Israel is “very close” to accepting the plan. He added that the goal is not only to stop the war but also to bring lasting peace to the Middle East. He called it a step toward “eternal peace.”
The plan demands the release of all hostages within 72 hours. It also calls for the removal of weapons and tunnels used by Hamas and other armed groups. A new international force, the International Stabilisation Force (ISF), would enter Gaza. This team would help maintain peace, block weapon smuggling, and ensure aid reaches people. The ISF would also train a new local police force to maintain order.
Gaza Stability Effort
Under the plan, Israeli forces would withdraw from Gaza in stages. This would happen once the area is stable. A new Palestinian transitional government would take charge. The World Bank and global experts would help form and support this government. Trump said Hamas and similar groups would not be part of it.
To oversee the peace plan, Trump proposed a new group — the “Board of Peace.” This board would include Arab leaders, Israel, and Trump himself. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has shown interest in joining. More names will be announced soon. Trump also said Iran might join the peace process in the future.
Two-State Solution
Many Muslim countries support the plan. Leaders from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, and Indonesia welcomed Trump’s efforts. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Trump’s leadership. He called a two-state solution the key to lasting peace.
Qatari and Egyptian officials shared the plan with Hamas, which is now reviewing it. Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the deal, Israel has his full support to take further action. He said Arab and Muslim nations should be given a chance to deal with Hamas and take charge of peace efforts.
Cooperation Needed
Earlier, Netanyahu apologized to Qatar for an Israeli attack in Doha. The strike violated Qatari sovereignty. Trump helped mediate a phone call between Netanyahu and Qatar’s leader. Netanyahu promised such an attack would not happen again.
Trump closed by saying the plan offers Palestinians a new beginning. But he warned that if their leaders fail to reform, they will only have themselves to blame. He believes this deal can bring long-term peace — if all sides cooperate.
